How does an electric motorbike work?

The difference between an electric motorbike and a regular motorbike is that the engine of an electric motorbike runs on electricity provided by rechargeable batteries. This switch in using electricity to power motorcycles is much cleaner and environmentally friendly. It doesn’t require any burning, the parts of the engine don’t wear down easily, plus there are no traces of noise and gas pollution.

What kind of battery do Melalie electric motorbikes have?

It is a maintenance-free 18.650 cell lithium-ion battery with 60v 35Ah with a max capacity of 7 kWh.

Do I need to charge all the way?

The electric motorbike battery can be recharged to any level depending on the available charging time.

How long does it take to recharge the electric motorbike battery?

The charging of a full battery takes approximately 6 hours.

What is the expected battery life of the electric motorbike?

The estimated battery life of the electric motorbike is 1000 charging cycles. Depending on the frequency of charging the estimated battery life would be 5 years.

How and where can I charge the battery?

The battery is a plug, play, and removable! The charging console is on 220 Volt and is portable under the Melalie electric motorbike seat. The battery can easily be charged at any place where a 220-volt plug is available and you can also remove the battery to charge it separately if your Melalie electric motorbike is far from a 220-volt plug.

How far can I drive before I need to recharge?

The NIU NGT is an electric scooter that has three unique driving modes (SPORT, DYNAMIC, and E-SAVE). Dive into the city’s winding streets or explore the main streets with ease. In SPORT mode, the NGT’s top speed is 70 km/h, making urban travel faster than ever.

The NIU Gova has two unique driving modes (SPORT and Touring). The SPORT mode top speed is 60 km/h and the Touring is 45 km/h.

A fully charged battery can go between 90km and 110km depending on load, speed of driving, and road types. It is best to recharge the electric motorbike battery before it is 20%.

How can I rent a Melalie electric motorbike?

You can rent a Melalie electric motorbike directly via the Melalie website or via a mobile application. Download the app at Google Play or App Store.

Do I need an international driving license to rent an electric motorbike?

An international driver’s license (IDL) is basically a translation of your driver’s license and is normally valid for one year. The IDL is advised in countries where language could be a barrier. In order to drive in Bali, you are required to have an International driver’s license, the IDL does not replace your original driver’s License so you will always have to bring this along!
